Poets of the Fall

La historia de Poets of the Fall comienza en 2002, en Helsinki, Finlandia, cuando el cantante Mark y el guitarrista Ollie, comenzaron desde diferentes fondos musicales, empezaron escribiendo canciones juntos. Luego se unio el productor y musico Captain. El nombre, Poets of the Fall, viene de la idea que dos contrarios forman un conjunto. No hay uno sin el otro. "Poets" significa el lado positivo, "of the Fall" el lado negativo. La historia detrás de la canción "Late Goodbye" en el juego de consolas y PC Max Payne 2. Según lo dicho por Mark: "Los individuos del Remedy habían oído nuestra música antes y habían pedido que escribiéramos una canción para el juego. Nos conformamos felizmente. Sam Lake me envió un poema que él escribio hace un tiempo, esto era grande puesto que realmente trabajó para inspirarme. Me senté en mi piso de la cocina en la noche, con mi guitarra, y escribi la canción ".
